Truly one of the toasts of the holiday season, The Snowman is sure to warm the cockles and spread cheer wherever it roams. Based on English children's author Raymond Brigg's beloved Yuletide tale, the 1982 Oscar-nominated film features an enchanting score by Howard Blake, which is now performed by a live orchestra alongside a special HD screening.
An instant hit when it first debuted on British TV channel 4 in 1982, The Snowman quickly became staple holiday viewing around the world. Soaring songs like bonafide Christmas classic Walking In The Air punctuate the uplifting, sweet and old fashioned tale of a young boy whose snowman miraculously comes to life. The pair embark on a whirlwind adventure to the North Pole and of course, find out the true meaning of Christmas along their merry way.
